Abel's Provides firewood for whatever your needs

We have firewood that can be delivered and stacked* for you, just call us to know how much wood you want and where to deliver to.  We have several types of firewood available all cut into 15 or 16" lengths.

Hard or Soft Woods....
Hardwood in our region is typically almond or oak, these burn hotter and longer compared to soft woods.

Softwoods are Juniper, Logepole, or Pine-Fir Mix, these are easier to start and get a fire going quickly. Soft woods are the most abundant types of wood in our area and therefore more economical.

A mixture of hard and soft woods will give you the ability to easily start a fire with with the soft and then add the harder woods to keep it burning hotter and longer.

How is Firewood measured ....
The "cord" or fractional parts (1/4, 1/2 ..) is the only legal measurement of firewood .  A cord is the amount of firewood contained in 128 cubic feet of space when the firewood is tightly stacked.  A cord of firewood is a pile which measures 4 feet wide, 4 feet high, and 8 feet long. But whatever the dimensions of the pile is, it must be equivalent to 128 cubic feet of tightly stacked firewood to be equal to one cord.
